A topic for this year's was started (and there was also nonsense speculation in another thread) on the dysfunctional Blockland forum but now we have an actual forum to use.


We will be using a heavily upgraded version of the 2018 build from "Official" New Years (not to be confused with "Actual" New Years as for that year there were two servers)

If all goes well, we plan to open fully at December 31st at 4:30PM EST / 9:30PM GMT. The preload will be open shortly.

Use the CDN add-on to download all the necessary files in just a few minutes when you join the server. Using the CDN add-on will give you an achievement so you should install it anyway.

We've decided to change it. A separate preload server will be open very soon. There is nothing to do once you finish loading as you will be stuck on the loading screen.

New Year's 2025 PRELOAD is OPEN. As a reminder, the plan is to fully open at 4:30PM EST / 9:30PM GMT on the 31st. Please use this addon to load files faster: https://blocklandglass.com/addons/addon/1580

In my test it took me 5 minutes 20 seconds to load approximately 450MB of files. There's nothing to do there other than to load files and chat with other players. Feel free to go to my Speedkart Remastered server to hang out.

The server is still up so there won't be a release yet. It stays up as long as people occasionally join. I will probably definitely close it by February 15th.
